Block Exchange

I brought up the idea that our bee should do a block exchange. So after organizing it I finally made my three blocks. We will start on June 1, 2011 there are 10 of us total so we should be done in a year.

Zackary's Quilt

Started and finished piecing Shane and Amy's baby boy due in August, Zackary, quilt today May 4. Decided not to add a border, figured it will look good with just a binding for a border.

Next step

It didn't take long to sew together. Put the borders on today, May 4. Put fabric together for the back. Hope to start quilting tomorrow.

Katie's Baby's Quilt

April 30, 2011 Started working on Katie's baby's quilt. It is so nice to have a design wall when making a few changes to a pattern, or just to see how the fabrics look together before going forward with it.

Half Square Triangle Quilt

I had the half square triangles sewn together and sitting on the design wall since before Christmas, I think. Realized Monday morning that I needed the design wall so I have been sewing all week, trying to get this together. It will still be a UFO for awhile because I know I want it to be bigger. But now I can get back to the getting baby blankets done before July and August.

Tree skirt

Finished binding the tree skirt April 19, 2011. This is the one that is called large in the pattern but would be to small for a real tree. So it will be a table topper; it will sit on the island in the kitchen. I'm still on a hunt for the more fabric to go with the strips I have started for a bigger tree skirt.

Grandmother's Flower Garden

This is my hand project that I can work on when there are no sewing machines in sight! ;o) Thanks to my friends Jacquie and Lori for helping with the lay out.

Ivan

Ivan is my little bot. He helps me when working with the computer and sewing machine together! He is even willing to hang on to pins when I don't know where I put the pin cushion!! Isn't he wonderful?! I think everyone needs a handmade bot to help with these new electronic sewing machines! Follow the link to see the other bots that Robin has made!
