This is a VERY rough idea on where I am going with the quilt for Sean. No reason to make it exact. It was good enough to give me the idea of size and know that I really want a white border before adding the four patch borders.

I have been working on quilting but other things too. Including just regular mending. Today I saw that the Quilting Bee had fabric on sale that I have loved for a few years so instead of just ordering I thought I should know how much I really need. I turned to EQ8 and had a refresher course on how to download fabric swatches, thanks to Sunrise Quilt Studio on YouTube (Importing Fabric Swatches into EQ8 from a Fabric Website). Not what I meant to do this morning but it was a good exercise on using EQ8. Anyway this is the image.
Today was spent designing on EQ8. I recreated Pat Sloan's Anniversary Block so I could make a table top quilt. Here is what I have for now, but it is a work in progress.
After cutting focus fabric and background fabric it is layered with the sewing guide paper, Triangles on a Roll.
Next remove paper, and then press open the seam lines and trim "dog ears".
Now to lay them out to start sewing. These four will be in the same setting, Ribbon Star Block.
I don't remember when I made this but it hasn't made it's way to the blog yet. This was done by needle turn applique.
Working on four blocks for Sean's quilt. These are from Week Five of the Triangles on a Roll Quilt Along Pattern from The Fat Quarter Shop. Block names are Barn Star and Puzzle Star.
In progress Half-Square Triangles from the day before.
One of my goals for this year is to do a better job of finishing quilts and other projects. At the end of 2023 I sorted, prepped, and counted my on going projects.
Time to update the other website about the farm too.
Its impossible for me to not be distracted so here is another quilt I designed in EQ. It makes me think of Cora, lol, of course!
